It will not mean much to huge numbers here but in the context of 2025, I wish to note this. The NRM director Judith McNicol in post since 2017 left at the end of 2024 for a new role at the British Museum, She has been replaced by Craig Bentley who comes from a role at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. In our personal context this is because I was there on the 21st November 2025 with Fiona. She was there again on the 24th November at an LNER Stakeholder event. Our joint visit was to check out/celebrate links to the Campaign for Better Transport collection which the NRM has recently obtained.
