NRM Progress 2025-26

For several years it may have seemed as if little was happening with The Forsythe Collection. However that has not been the case. Alison Petersen and her team have been working hard appreciating the relevance of the collection to currents interests. 16 years on and any or all  of the 1960s, the portrayal of women on the railway, design classics like the Double Arrow and saga of privatisation can excite people. The brands that proved memorable like GNER and those that sunk like One are all served. Fiona and myself have had two York visits since last November. The latest involved railway historian Tim Dunn and from LNER Ed Turner. Tim has provided a most interesting review .
